MISTRAS Group is proud to announce the appointment of Natalia Shuman as the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective January 1, 2025. Ms. Shuman will be reporting directly to the Executive Chairman of the Board, Manuel (Manny) Stamatakis. Ms. Shuman brings more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry, making her uniquely positioned to lead MISTRAS Group into its next phase of growth and success.
A Proven Leader with a Track Record of Success
Throughout her career, Ms. Shuman has driven transformative growth, developed high-performing teams, and led organizations through pivotal periods of change.
- Driving Growth at Eurofins Scientific: As Group Executive Vice President and Group Operating Council Member, Ms. Shuman led over 12,000 employees across the global organization. She spearheaded strategies that optimized laboratory operations, enhanced operational efficiency, and leveraged data-driven digital solutions to deliver measurable growth and value for stakeholders
- Transforming Bureau Veritas: As its North American CEO, Ms. Shuman managed 7,000 employees and 130 locations, overseeing a diverse portfolio of field-based services. She became the first female executive in Bureau Veritas’ 200-year history to join the Group Executive Committee, leading the company through a significant transformation. Under her leadership, Bureau Veritas diversified its business model beyond oil and gas and utilized data analytics to improve operational performance while fostering a “one company” culture to enhance collaboration and brand recognition across North America.
- Innovating at Kelly Services: In her role as head of international business, Ms. Shuman demonstrated her ability to align workforce development with strategic goals. She focused on recruiting top talent and creating human capital solutions that supported business growth and operational improvements in dynamic environments.

Beyond her professional achievements, Ms. Shuman is a recognized advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, earning accolades such as recognition on Forbes and Fortune’s Most Powerful Women and five consecutive acknowledgments as one of Staffing Industry Analysts’ Most Influential Leaders in Staffing. She has been a vocal champion for advancing women in leadership roles and fostering inclusive work environments that drive innovation and collaboration.
In addition to her advocacy, Ms. Shuman earned a dual Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia Business School and London Business School, equipping her with a robust foundation in international business strategy.

Acknowledging Manny Stamatakis’ Leadership
As the CEO, Ms. Shuman succeeds Mr. Stamatakis, who has been serving as both Interim CEO and the Executive Chairman of the Board since October 2023. Mr. Stamatakis will continue in the role of Executive Chairman of the Board, providing strategic oversight and support to the CEO and the Company’s leadership team.
